  • Dramatic Feedback Readings
    • Hello you two, my name is Rouven and I live in Germany. I listen to your podcast for a while now – always while driving to work and back home, each way 35min. – and I must say I really enjoy it. The fact, that half of the show (just guessing, not taking times…) you talk about other things than android, makes it amusing. I hope you keep doing your show and make my way to work a bit sweeter 😉 Greetings from Germany, Shana tova, Rouven.
    • In not sure if this is the way I was supposed to send feed back last week, but here it is anyway. Your podcast is my favorite podcast, hands down. The kazoo always makes me smile and your voices remind me of a young John Goodman and the guy from The Princess Bride that says “inconceivable” over and over. Hope that is not offensive to either of you as it is only meant to be an observational compliment. I download your show every week for the hilarious banter and great down to earth approach to android news. Thanks for the great show and please don’t stop making it. -Nich (pronounced “Nick” it’s just half of Nicholas so it makes more sense “Nich-olas”)
    • Stop complaining and set your home and work yourself http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/27740/android-setup-your-home-and-work-locations-for-google-now-traffic-cards/ OR from a desktop https://support.google.com/maps/answer/1626958?hl=en – Steve McLaughlin
    • So, you wanted feedback, you’ve got it. I am a frequent listener, and frequent live show/IRC particiant. (In case it’s not obvious.) I appreciate the show and like the perspective that you guys bring. If Guru still needs a netbook for the show, I may be able to accommodate. Please send me an email if this is still needed. Thanks, –murph
    • I miss the regular theme song. 🙁 I feel that it’s time to play the full song again. 🙂 Also, I no longer listen to you guys on Stitcher. I switched to Pocket Casts. Much better. Thanks for the show. – Tim Griffiths
    • Please don’t end the podcast, I really enjoy listening to you guys and I am sure a lot of others do too. Best Regards Bob R. Wood Ridge, NJ
    • Hi guys I’m a long time listener but a first time feedbacker to your podcast. I’m submitiing this feedback because you both seem to be questioning your value to the outside world. I have always found your podcast to be amusing, entertaining, interesting and informative. It’s a very comfortable (like your favourite slippers) “listen to” podcast when I’m at work or doing the dishes. However because of your smooth laid back style rather than the normal geeky in your face approach you don’t provoke any immediate reaction. I suppose like all the good things in life you get taken for granted but don’t doubt your value to us. I’m another one of your European listeners, living about 120 miles north of London. I listen to quite a few podcasts while I’m working, the main topics being Android, Linux and history related things. Does it strike anyone else strange that in the midst of all these concerns about privacy, on both sides of the pond, that Motorola brings out a mobile that has the microphone active all the time, if my understanding of this phone is correct. Anyway guys keep up the good work it is appreciated. I hope this is one of many emails you get you certainly deserve loads. I don’t do social networking but I will be in contact again. Brian.
    • Hey Guru, Hey Jere, Last episode you requested comments from listeners asking if anyone was listening out there. We’ll I’m a fan of the show and have been listening for at least a year. I travel by car to and from work at least two hours a day and look forward to listening to the Android Buffer Podcast every Tuesday (sorry I can’t listen live due to scheduling issues). Gentlemen, keep up the good work and a big thank you for the numerous hours you’ve dedicated to the show. Regards, Jay Whitehead
    • Hey There Jere & Guru, Just to reassure you, I listen every week, but as you guessed, not in USA so don’t have a strong opinion on US Privacy issues – despite that fact that I know that it also impacts my Internet communications etc. Whilst I believe it would be lovely to have an Advocate in Secret Courts – I doubt that they would have much influence if they said NO. I believe that the GOV will do what they want regardless of advocates decisions. Who is gonna check up and report on them? But as a very early adopter of the Internet – I’m pretty sure my entire life is out there on the interwebs already. Anyways from Sydney Australia Goodbye and keep up the good work.. BTW Jere, its just called a Platypus (but yes its beak does look a little like a Duck Bill). Cheers Lance
    • I listen to the podcast. So keep doing it. I dont listen live though — I listen on archive. Anyway — keep Guru, keep up the good work.
    • Hi Guru, I’ve got a huge favour to ask… Would it be possible for you to order a chromecast an forward itto me? Naturally I’ll cover all of the costs! If this is a possibility I’d be very grateful. As it stands there’s no release date here and the chromecast is exactly what I had intended to setup my raspberry pi to function as Hoping to hear from you soon!
    • My comment is, no comment You made me think about the show the McLaughin Group, have you ever watched the McLaughin Group, it is maybe the worst television show ever, I hate even the name relation to that thing, but I am happy to be related to Android Buffet, woot woot – Stephen McLaughlin
