    • Robert Bork passes away. Bork’s video rental history being leaked lead to the Video Privacy Act of 1988, just overturned by the House on behalf of Netflix. Bork also was the man who fired the special prosecutor during the Watergate scandals in 1973. Bork will be most remembered for his name…which now is a verb meaning…to defame or villify systematically in the mass media…
    • A New type of kiosk called Brightbox is popping up in New York CIty. A fast-charge locker that costs $2.95, and will lock up your phone while charging, and only unlock with the same credit card you used to lock it in. Will be launching mobile apps to help you find a station.  Will be expanding to other metro areas in 2013.
    • Google sells Motorola’s set top box division to Arris. Guess there will be no Nexus TV.
    • Nielsen will supplement TV ratings with Twitter.
    • Ars poll indicates the majority of readers want a dual-persona smartphone.

    • Google Announces New YouTube API released, which was previously referenced at I/O, allows integration of YouTube content into apps.
    • Is the Google Play switch working for Android?

    • Kii Keyboard, which incorporates similar features to Swype and Swiftkey, is being trialed for free in the XDA Developers.
    • Dropbox releases public beta of new build, adds multiple photo delete feature, sharing, and more.
    • Light Flow updated to support 62 more apps, multiple calendars. Light Flow allows greater control of notification LEDs. (Play Link)
    • Amazon releases Amazon Instant Video app…for LG Google TVs.  ARGH.
    • USB Audio Recorder Pro brings first USB audio recording capabilities to Android.
    • imo.im updated with tablet support and oauth for Google. (Play Link)

    • Press, a new RSS reader with a nice UI and Reader integration.
    • ARCHOS releases its video app for $5.  (Play Link)
